Dr. Thomson and his wife Sandé reside in Weston and have two adult children and two grandchildren. Other than spending time with his family, he enjoys fishing, swimming, working outside, and drawing wildlife. A collage of his labrador retrievers will greet you in the waiting room of Eldorado Animal Hospital. In addition, he has 4 cats who begrudgingly share their home with the labs and humans. When his children were at home; the family participated in mission trips twice a year with their church to work at an orphanage in Mexico. In recent years, Dr. Thomson works with Christian Veterinary Missions working in Haiti to help the locals with their veterinary needs in various field locations. In addition to supporting his church; he also is a regular contributor to Samaritan Inn, Habitat For Humanity, St. Vincent DePaul, Catholic Relief Services, FOCUS, and MD Anderson.
